Firefighters night call emergency: Myocardial autonomic regulation consequences [L'appel d'urgence nocturne chez les pompiers : Conséquences sur la régulation autonome du myocarde]

Résumé

Introduction: The objective of our work is to study the impact of night emergency calls on autonomic myocardial regulation of the heart of firefighters. Summary of facts: Eleven good health firefighters participated in the study. The registration of the VFC on call overnight allowed us to quantify the impact of a night-time emergency call on autonomic myocardial regulation activity. Conclusion: We have shown that the brutal transition from sleep to awakening state is a risk for firefighter's health. © 2011 Elsevier Masson SAS.
