EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF DISPERSION-INDUCED DISTORTIONS IN IMDD OFDM PON TRANSMISSIONS

Abstract : We experimentally investigate the influence of the intensity modulation index of an OFDM signal submitted to propagation through a dispersive fiber and direct detection at the receiver. We evaluate the role of the parasite phase modulation component created by the laser chirp and its influence on the system's in-band and out-of-band noise.
