Cinétique d'oxydation du fer par la vapeur d'eau en symètrie cylindrique dans l'intervalle 800-100°C.
Résumé
Iron oxidation mechanism in hydrogen-water vapor mixtures, under wüstite stability conditions, is first controlled by a reaction at the outer interface, then followed by diffusion regulation after 35% of reaction advancing, in both cylindrical and plane geometries.
However, significant kinetic modifications occur for cylindrical symmetry, which accelerates the initial interfacial period and slows down the diffusional process. These alterations, arising from specimen geometry, seem to be imputable to an important development of mechanical stresses within the wüstite layer.
