Modification of the oxidation mechanism of a FeCrAl alloy in the presence of water vapour.
Modification du mécanisme d'oxydation d'un alliage FeCrAl par la présence de vapeur d'eau.
Résumé
The influence of water vapour on the oxidation mechanism of a FeCrAl alloy in oxygen was studied between 800 and 1200°C. It appears that the presence of water vapour results in an initial linear reaction at the gas/ oxide interface before diffusion becomes the rate-determining process.
