Amino porphyrins as photoinhibitors of Gram-positive and -negative bacteria
Résumé
Twenty four aminoporphyrin derivatives have been tested in vitro for their antibacterial photoactivity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Two of these compounds, bearing polyamine units, exhibited a significant activity especially against Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli).
Twenty four aminoporphyrin derivatives have been tested in vitro for their antibacterial photoactivity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Two of these compounds, bearing polyamine units (17–18) exhibited a significant activity especially against gram-negative bacteria. For 17, 18: R1=R2=R3=R4=H, a=CH3, b=CHCH2 and c=(CH2)2COspermidine for 17, c=(CH2)2COspermine for 18.
